Whitelists/Blacklists

The domain level whitelists allow for an entire domain to be added.  This is helpful when you know that your organisation will receive emails from a specific domain and you wish to guarantee they are delivered to your email system. The domain level blacklists will block all the incoming emails from the domain. If you don't want to receive any emails from a domain, you can add it to the domain level blacklist.

Whitelist Settings

Validate whitelists-- Once you have updated the list of domains in your organisations whitelist then you can also change the behaviour of how these are treated in the filtering.  This setting allows the whitelist to be used in conjunction with SPF or DKIM records.  These are standards used on the internet to validate an identified IP address is allowed to send email for a specific domain name.  We recommend leaving this setting active for greater email security.

Enable user whitelists-- Incoming emails will be checked against the user whitelists. If the sender is present in the user whitelists then spam checking will be skipped.

Once you have completed updating the whitelist and the settings please remember to save your settings.
